The surrounding countryside is quite beautiful and offers some wonderful coastal and inland walks. Bournemouth is the nearest large town and is easily reached by the Studland/Poole chain ferry. There is a vast sandy beach at Studland, which is owned by the National Trust. Local shops are all within walking distance.
